This is a wild ask. Maybe getting both sets of kids a PS5 or something would be on the table, but frankly, her biological kids' education is none of his concern.

Right, this can be a great learning moment for our protagonist's stepkids as well as for her husband. Instead, he is just demanded that everyone adjust to meet them where they're at.

44-year-old dad tries to downgrade stepkids' expensive education after ex-wife loses job and stops sending bio kids to private school, new wife stands her ground: "[He] has nothing to do with your childrens' education"
It can be diffiuclt for children of divorced parents to adjust to their mom and dads' new partners and families. While it's certainly hard enough for new stepsiblings to develop bonds with each other under normal circumstances, it is even harder when their separated families come from different financial backgrounds. It's just as challenging for parents in these situations to raise their kids fairly, within their means, and without being accused of favoritism.
In our story today, a divorced and remarried woman is juggling parenting two sets of kids with her current husband and her ex. The financial situations in both families are somewhat similar until her husband's ex-wife loses her job and pulls her kids out of private school. Now, he's demanding that our protagonist do the same so that the kids feel like they're on the same playing field. Confused? Me too. Scroll down to get all the details necessary to understand the intricacies of this complicated family feud.
